Quick and easy experience at this urgent care. I was in and out in less than 1 hr. The ability to make appointments online is great!Leaving this review solely for the gentleman who checked me in. He was so nice and caring. Offered those of us waiting a water and genuinely wished that everyone feel better when leaving. Typically those who check you in can be very short and rude and this was the total opposite. Really appreciated when you are already feeling crappy!
Lovely staff, love the ability to pre-book and upload insurance info online, staff is caring and kind, very empathetic. They helped my mom with an injury a few weeks prior to my visit and she had a great experience. You can expect a bit of a delay as it is an urgent care but overall wasn’t too bad, about an hour all up.
I recently visited this urgent care after taking a nasty fall during a trail run, resulting in a deep cut on my knee that required 15 stitches. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free.Dr. Fineman did an outstanding job not only with the stitches but also in putting me at ease throughout the entire process. The entire staff was wonderful! While I hope you never find yourself in need of urgent care, if you do, I highly recommend this facility. My experience was as positive as it could be given the circumstances. Thank you to everyone for your exceptional service!
I am very privileged to be living in close proximity of Urgent Care. I feel safe and secure knowing that they are there, if and when we need them. And the staff is warm and friendly and helpful. Especially the doctor’s... they are patient, insightful, knowledgeable, and have never steered me wrong. I want to give a special thanks to Dr.Feinman... who is professional, empathetic,Endearing, and is also lighthearted and has a great sense of humor! Bravo!!!
My most recent visit at AFC Urgent Care, Phoenixville was more than upsetting. It was concerning and has left me feeling worried about the community it serves; and a sense of responsibility to raise awareness in regards to what takes place at this establishment. This wasn’t my first time at AFC Urgent Care, Phoenixville, but it has by far been my worst experience. Over the years my experience has been less and less of what I expect. There are (3) main concerns with this practice, but I’m sure more findings would be exposed through investigation. The first, is the privacy that isn’t afforded to patients at check-in. The space is so compact, which doesn’t have to be a negative thing. However, thoughtful and innovative efforts would have to be made to ensure each guest is treated with dignity and respect. I witnessed a patient humiliated because of issues with their insurance. The patient/guest was not handled with dignity and respect and more can be said about why and how they were treated the way they were. The second, is the legitimacy of those conducting certain tasks within the practice. Further investigations are being conducted with this regard, so I will not speak anymore on this for now.The third, and most concerning of them all is one of the doctors at this practice. This was not the first encounter I had with this doctor, but it will be the last. It is my earnest hope that I never have to visit this place again. The doctor that I’m speaking of is the most arrogant, ill-mannered, bigoted professional that I have ever encountered. Their lack of training as it relates to DEI efforts in healthcare and our society at large doesn’t surprise me, but I will no longer tolerate this type of treatment. This doctor feels very entitled to speak to and demean patients/guests in an unacceptable manner, but when it’s given back to them, they don’t know how to respond. So they whisper gossip and negative remarks about patients/guests to influence the behaviors of other staff members. This is very unfortunate, because I have experienced other friendly doctors at this location.Again, it is my hope that I never have to return to this place. I have contacted multiple measures of accountability to look into this practice. I was exposed to biased remarks by staff members (speaking directly to me), witnessed the degradation of other patients/guests, and left with an overall icky feeling about the visit. If you feel that you have experienced any sort of malpractice at AFC Urgent Care, Phoenixville please speak up. It will really help with the measures of accountability. NO ON, and I repeat NO ONE should have to leave a medical facility feeling worse than they did about life before their visit. Especially, not the visit to Urgent Care. Silence is acceptance. Speak OUT!
We checked in at 8AM with an 8/10 pain and were told the doctor wasn’t in. By 8:35 the doctor still hadn’t seen the two people in front of us so we had no choice but to leave. They held my ID and insurance the whole time so I will have to dispute any charges. For a wait like that just go to the ER
Absolutely abysmal. Noticed an issue with my sons arm that needed attention sooner than later - rushed him to this nearest urgent care. Got there 25 min before they closed, which is understandably annoying for everyone, including me. The receptionist looked at the person next to her and smugly turned to me and said, were not seeing any more patients tonight. Thanks for nothing. Dont waste your time. They dont actually care. Also - if you look at the reviews on their website, theyre only pulling the 5-star reviews from Google, not all of them. Shady.
Sent my son here to get his thumb looked at after an injury left it not healing after 6 weeks. It took almost 4 hrs to get an xray of thumb. They said they didnt see anything but he should follow up with ortho. We followed up with ortho and gave them the disc from here. It had 1 view on there and it was labeled LEFT hand. It is his RIGHT-HAND and he said he had 3 views taken but when Penn medicine pulled it up there was only 1 so they had to redo them. This was simple folks and you got it so WRONG. Really scary medical care for us out there. Save yourself the extra money and wasted time. Go to the professionals first. Sorry I trusted you all to take care of my son.
Very pleasant and QUICK experience. I have had many issues with the healthcare offered in Pottstown and I appreciated the professionalism and care taken here. I do not at all mind the distance, will travel for good healthcare!
The good:I was seen at the AFC Phoenixville location twice: once in 2020 and once in January 2024. The time in 2020 was wonderful - the people were nice, everything went well, and I got better. I even recommended to a few friends. Fast forward to this year. My visit in January went well, I was seen and treated, and a prescription was sent over to the pharmacy. While I did end up waiting a bit after my appointment time, it was nothing super major. The bad & ugly:After my visit in January, I received my bill post-insurance. Before I even received the paper bill, I received a text message and phone call requesting payment. The voicemail didnt even tell me who they were, just that they were from the billing department.Immediately upon receiving the statement in the mail, I submitted it to my HSA (Health Savings Account) for payment which can take up to 30 days for the payment to clear. In those 30 days, I received a second physical bill in the mail and an additional text message and 2 phone calls. I called and told them that the payment was in the mail. After yet another physical bill two weeks ago, I called and sent them proof of payment from the HSA (HSA confirmed the check cleared). Then, another two weeks go by and I receive yet another bill, this time labeled Final Statement Before Further Action. The redemption:At this point, I was clearly frustrated and annoyed. So, I left a negative review here. The next day, I heard from the office manager wanting to call and talk to me by phone. I sent him the proof of payment and told him when he could call. During the phone call, he apologized about the issue I was having and said that he would track down the missing payment. By the end of the day, he had found the deposited check. And, finally, my outstanding balance was resolved. In summary (TL;DR):I thought the staff at the office were nice, personable, and helpful. They definitely help me out when I was pretty sick and needed to be seen as soon as possible. However, billing definitely leaves much to be desired. My hope is that my experience is a one-time and not a systemic problem. Only time will tell.
OUTSTANDING! For a change I had the time to schedule this visit ahead of time online. My appointment occurred on time; they had read my entire request and had an exam room ready for me with all of the necessary equipment. My physician Nydia was - as always - simply perfect with her preparation, patient query, handling, follow thru and follow up. I cannot say enough about the perfect blend of health care professionalism presented with just the the right amount of friendliness to make a comfortable and productive visit. I was not rushed - something that occurs EVERY time I visit my family doctors office - and left knowing everything had been taken care of. My prescription was sent to my preferred pharmacy. I was presented with a printed explanation of my entire visit, including prescription usage and how and when to get back in touch with this office if there was a problem. Thank you.
Staff is friendly and caring. The management is highly involved with staff and patients. Great experience all around
Disappointed. They are supposed to be open until 5 on Sundays. Just took my daughter in for suspected strep. There was no one in waiting area at 4:25 pm and I was told they aren’t taking any new appointments for the day. Waste of time.
On their website it says to please arrive at least 60 minutes before close. The last 2 times I went I arrived at 6:30 and 6:45 due to my work schedule, WELL before the 8pm closing time and both times I was told they were at “full capacity” and not taking anymore patients??? There were literally 3 people in the waiting room. I had to resort to going to the ER and was seen right away.
Quite organized and very professional. All of the staff are very friendly and I was in and out in An hour from start to finish! I would definitely go back
Weve been to this urgent care numerous times over the years, and its always been a good experience. The staff are polite, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. And they can do x-rays onsite, which is really helpful.Wait times vary based on the time of day, flu season, etc, but are always reasonable given the circumstances of the day.
Front desk was nice. Paperwork filled out on my phone; website they used was good and straightforward. Got in pretty quick (
The x rays and check up were prompt. My sling and recommendations for follow up care were amazing. Great service friendly staff.
My experience was very pleasant. Dr. Tammy was awesome and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall good experience.
As a physician, I was particularly impressed by the prompt service and knowledgeable care!
I do not live close to this Urgent Care. I have not been happy with the UC in my area and this one was recommended. I have now used them four times and could not be happier with the efficiency, care, and patient scheduling of the entire staff. I have always been diagnosed appropriately and prescribed what was needed. I will continue to use them for all my health needs.
I truly appreciate AFC! One of my kids and I have had a couple visits there each. Each time we have gotten the care, medical advice, and prescriptions we needed to get better at times we wouldnt have been able to see our usual providers. The most two recent visits were on weekends in the past month. The wait was about an hour to be seen by the doctor each time, but everyone on staff was clearly doing their best. Most recently this past Saturday they were short staffed, had to open a little late, and had to close early because someone was sick, but I could tell everyone was pulling more than their own weight, and they tried to get as many patients seen as possible. They also still all were kind and respectful and had smiles on their faces.I was fortunate enough to be seen that day since I got there before opening, and the care provided has me on the mend!I really cant complain about this place, but maybe some more staff would help at times.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was signed in and seen by the doctor. Everyone was attentive, courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care to any one who needed help. One negative: I did NOT like wearing a mask BUT I know its medical protocol at this time and has nothing to do with AFC
We live around the corner and found AFC by accident. We’ve come a few times for ear infections and I brought a work friend who had something in his eye. The front desk staff and Dr. Wagman are just absolutely amazing. There’s a female doc that we’ve also had who is also amazing. I can not say enough good things about this location. I wish we could make it our primary care doctor, they’re all just that wonderful.
Had to wait over 90 minutes past my appointment time. Prior visit had to do the same for my 2 year old son, wait 90 minutes past an appointment time. Had walk in patients put ahead of me. Clearly don’t care about patients time. Last time I come to this place. Unacceptable.
Waited almost an hour to see a doctor because There. computers were down could have came in and told me the problem instead of just letting me sit there
The staff at AFC Urgent Care were kind and professional. They made my visit productive, comfortable, and expedient.I would definitely recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone who needs immediate medical attention or assistance , including my loved ones.
Not a bad urgent care. It’s clean inside which is really nice. I have been to an urgent care that was not so clean. My wait time was not to long. Paper is easy to fill out. It was kind intense that the doctor was wearing an extreme face mask, Almost look like a gas mask. But the funny part is is the nurse was just wearing a normal mask and she dealt with me more than the actual doctor. Overall though I felt like I was helped out.
I brought a friend to this urgent care to have his swollen finger checked. FULL DISCLOSURE: I understand other patients may need to be seen before patients with minor issues. & I’m a nursing student so I understand procedure and how busy they can be!! Firstly, we walked in and was immediately turned away because my friend is under 18. I thought this seemed wrong so I looked up the law for minors and medical care in PA and showed the man at the front the law. I went back in and kindly said this is the law, and he called his dad for confirmation. We then waited in the waiting room for 50 minutes before taken back for basic vitals. We then got to the exam room and waited for 45 more minutes. At 40 minutes I asked a nurse kindly if she knew that we were waiting and that I understood if they were busy and apologized for bothering her. The doctor came 5 minutes later. Not one staff member looked like they wanted to be there, and weren’t friendly. OVERALL: very disorganized and we waited for far too long
Physician was wonderful. Took his time, listened and even went out of his way to make my son feel comfortable who is afraid of doctors. Will certainly return for future needs for my family and I. Thank you!!
Id just like to thank the staff for always being so kind. Dr. Wagman was such a pleasure to meet! As someone who has high anxiety I really appreciated how he immediately made me feel at ease with jokes and kindness, yet he was professional, asked questions, and listened to everything I said. Thank you! 🧡
I had to go to the urgent care rather than my primary care physician recently and was VERY MUCH satisfied with the level of service, medical expertise, patient care, and ease with which we were seen and treated. AFC Urgent Care even has the capacity to take X-rays right in the office. A true time saver. The PA who treated my son and mother was top notch.
If it werent for an odd occurrence with a nursing personnel, Id have given this AFC Urgent Care 5 stars. This is otherwise one of the best urgent care facilities with knowledgeable staff (caution interacting with the british one) and were lucky to have it
Hey—if you hate your job and patients so much that you roll your eyes and sigh at everyone in the waiting room…change careers. If you’re so checked out and miserable, you are not going to be able to provide quality medical care. The people at the desk are lazy and uninformed. I should have known after they misdiagnosed me last year (ended up severely sick in need of emergency medical care after they sent me home saying it was a virus and would go away with no treatment). However their website states they treat kids and do X-rays on them. My child had what is believed to be a fatty deposit on his leg, that feels like a round lump. after a previous ultrasound didn’t show enough detail, his doc told me to go get an X-ray to rule out a cyst. Every place I tried to get an appointment was either booked months out or wouldn’t take kids, so since I was local, I took him to this place. They (receptionist?) at the desk tried to tell me he needed an MRI, without him being seen or examined by anyone. They pretended that they couldn’t X-ray him, then recanted but said it wouldn’t show up and I would need an ultrasound. I told them I had a script from his primary care Dr specifically for an X-ray. They finally told me to go to CHOP. Which I did. And got an X-ray. CHOP told me there was no reason they couldn’t have xrayed his leg at Phoenixville. I think they just didn’t feel like seeing another patient. (I got that same impression when I showed up sick there last summer…same people, same rolling eyes, sighs, exasperated stances as they reluctantly get up from their chairs. Ignore the positive reviews, they’re clearly fake. Do NOT take yourself here or you’ll be misdiagnosed, and don’t take your kids here either…take them CHop or Bryn Mawr emergency. These people are not true medical professionals
Location is easily accessible. Everyone at AFC Doctors Express-Phoenixville was friendly and courteous. There was minimal wait before being seen by the Doctor. Received a follow up call from a staff member a few days after my visit to ask how I was doing and advised that if I needed additional assistance, not to hesitate coming back in. I was impressed with the follow-up call as I have never had one from a primary physicians office. I was even more impressed to learn that when I needed to see the Dr. again within 7 days for the ongoing issue, there was no charge for the second visit. I would definitely use this Urgent Care Center again!
Came in with flu-like symptoms and waited for 4* hours for a COVID test. There were only three people in the waiting room when I got there, and I was never told they were understaffed, running behind or anything else. They also require a doctors checkup, which cost me an extra $150* out of pocket.*ETA: As Dennis pointed out below, the charge was $99 not $150. He did call me: his system showed I was there less than 3 hours and he asked why I didnt ask to see a manager over the long wait. I checked my google timeline, and it showed I was on site from about 3:45 until 7:30, so I guess his staff took almost an hour to put me in the system? Either way, it was way too long for not having been warned about a patient backlog. My coworker who had the same symptoms was able to drive all the way to Philly in rush hour, get a test there, and have another hour long appointment before I was even seen. Regarding asking for a manager, Im not sure what that would have done except make the staff and other patients think I was rude.Dennis, I understand your desire to address negative reviews, and maybe it was just an off day. This is simply an honestly negative review for an honestly negative experience. Overall your reviews on Google are mostly positive and as you pointed out you had multiple patients come in a short time span. Im sure your business will survive one unhappy customer.
I’ve been in healthcare for many years and take patient concerns very seriously. I recently went to the urgent care for coughing and tight chest. Due to a new EHR system I waited an hour before they could figure out how to enter my secondary insurance. Therefore, people that checked in after me were being seen first! A patient with trouble breathing should never have to wait! A couple of days later, My chest became worse. I called the office to see if they did nebulizer treatments. I told the young lady that I was having trouble catching my breath. She told me I could make an appointment online or come in and wait. Really? A patient with breathing issues? Neither situation was acceptable. Went to Phoenixville ER and had excellent care in less than an hour and seen right away!
LOVE this place! I had a BRUTAL case of poison ivy and needed help. within 30 minutes I was in and out and prescriptions called in to pharmacy. By contrast, the week prior my wife had a SCHEDULED doctors appointment and after 45 minutes was told the wait would at least another 30 minutes and she had to leave. LOVE AFC Urgent Care. Their care and thoroughness have been exceptional.
The pain I felt before my visit to urgent care was unbearable. Although it was a busy time of day the staff were patient, kind, and professional. I had the best experience with Dr. Craig Feinman because he gave me my options on how he can treat my neck and back pain. He treated my issue with great care and respected my concerns. I would highly recommend this urgent care and especially the Dr.
(EDIT to my review to state the owner, who was nowhere to be seen during any of this claims people walked out of this place to wait in their car. that’s completely false as i overheard all of their conversations. one left due to being denied the use of their insurance, and the others due to the wait time being over an hour and seeing only 3 people in the waiting room. if you have no context on the situation, perhaps just apologize and leave it be. as stated this was not my first experience with this place being horrible. just go somewhere else where they don’t want to take advantage of people without a primary care provider to get their bag.)This is the second time Ive gone there and walked right out the door. Not worth your time or frustration. The lady at the desk didnt even look at my insurance but told me she couldnt take it... okay. I filled out 30 minutes worth of paperwork for a physical and was told when brining it back to the desk that the supposed $40 copay I was told I would have was now $75. I was confused but said okay, bill it to my address. To which the lady told me I couldnt be seen unless I paid first. Weird... $40 wasnt a big deal but $75 up front seemed like a huge scam considering Ive never IN MY LIFE been to a medical practice that wouldnt bill to my address. Ive also never been charged $75 for a physical. I am fully convinced after being in the waiting room for 30 minutes and seeing 3 other people walk right out the door after speaking to the front desk that this place is looking to get their money up and thats about it. Glad I took my paperwork and left to get my $25 physical elsewhere without an hour wait and 2 people in the waiting room.
I have been to this urgent care many times, and I have always received excellent treatment from all doctors and other staff members throughout the years. Its my go to when Im not feeling well.
I arrived at AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care shortly after they opened on a Wednesday morning. Check-in was quick and easy and I sat in a comfortable waiting room for approximately five minutes before the nurse took me back to take my vital signs. Once in the exam room, I waited for another 2-3 minutes before the physician arrived. He was very professional and thorough, answering all of my questions and addressing the concerns that I raised.Overall, my experience was excellent; quick and easy. I would highly recommend anyone in need of a quick visit to the doctor visit AFC Doctors Express.
Wasnt feeling well so I went here, there wasnt a doctor or NP on site (guess they were short staffed) and I was sent home. Couple hours later I get a call from the doctor who said I was sick. Ended up with a large bill...which is ridiculous
All the staff were lovely, the doctor and the nurse I met with had amazing patient rapport, I left with injuries properly assessed and tended to, and I will be honest, I came to this place after reading Dennis responses to not only all the good reviews, but from feeling honest inquisition about what he can do on the bad reviews. I would recommend this urgent care to any of my loved ones. thank you guys
I was very impressed with the doctor that I saw. Ive been to other urgent care facilities and plenty of ERs but I have to say, I think this was the best experience Ive had as far as meeting a physician who doesnt know anything about me and being able to diagnose me. Great experience besides the 3 1/2 hour visit. Just a really busy day at Urgent Care. I wasnt fond of the staff constantly interrupting the doctor in the room, but that was really the only bad part besides the wait.
I’d like to thank the staff at AFC Urgent Care for being so kind to me the other day, seeing me in a timely manner, and giving me the space to be emotional over a tough diagnosis. Thank you for making sure I got to a hospital and received the care I needed. If it weren’t for this Urgent Care I may not be here today. Thank you thank you thank you. If you’re looking for an Urgent Care where you will receive compassion, this is the place to go.
We arrived upon opening on a Sunday morning. Our wait time was about 30 minutes before we saw a doctor. The wait time increased significantly within minutes of AFC opening. I would suggest arriving right before opening to minimize your wait. Doctor, nurses, and front desk staff were respectful, efficient, and polite. (We visited for an ear infection.)
We went there with very low expectation - both my husband and I had flu symptoms. The doctor did a thorough examination and did both throat swabs and nose swabs to make the correct diagnosis. She prescribed me anti-viral and I felt better the next day! Their facility is very clean, there are toys & books for kids, TV for adults. Their front desk is very courteous and professional. Restrooms are clean and exam rooms are big enough and there are many exam rooms. The doctor was very good, listened to all my issues patiently. I take other medications for a different issues so she checked the drug interactions before she prescribed me an antiviral. She took her time to make the correct diagnosis and didnt rush us at all. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Excellent care both Professional and Personal.Waiting Room comfortable and very clean. All the staff met my every need. Understanding listened, explained details and the correct information needed.Even The Person overseeing Urgent Care was friendly, genuinely interested and caring.Over all The experience was first class. I would recommend this facility to everyone else I know.5 star Service
From the time u arrive to the moment you exitTotally professional and caring
New to the area... whole family gets sick... I packed us into the car and brought us into the Doctors Express Urgent Care in Phoenixville, based off of a quick search of Google and Yelp and reviews, Doctors Express had favorable reviews on Google. I was not disappointed. We were taken in quickly, the staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, despite my kids coughing and generally being sick. They even turned on cartoons for my kids, which made the wait much better and more bearable. (The wait didnt even end up being very long, but I was also sick, so any help was greatly appreciated). We were seen very quickly by the doctor and she was very pleasant and took a lot of time with us, asking us all of our symptoms. In short, I was nervous to go to Urgent Care, but Doctors Express was great, and we are now on the mend. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area.
I walked in on a Sunday afternoon with flu-like symptoms that I had already been treated for by my primary care physician. I was greeted immediately and seen less than five minutes after finishing the minimal paperwork! The medical assistants were fluent and knowledgeable. The doctor was incredibly non-judgemental and skilled. I was treated quickly and efficiently, and am now feeling better than I have in months! Steep co-pay, but definitely worth every penny!
The front desk staff was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The nurse and MD that tended to me were very patient, thorough, and treated my issue with seriousness and respect. My diagnosis and testing were promptly returned. A very positive urgent care visit.
Went there because my family physician was on vacation. Facility was very clean. Staff was courteous, polite and knowledgeable. Saw doctor in a very reasonable time frame. She explained everything thoroughly. I was very impressed. Much quicker than an emergency room visit
My daughter has taken me to Doctors Express at least 4 or 5 times and I can truthfully say my experience has been better than any other Doctors office I have been to. Most important is the caring manner of the entire staff. Wait times are usually 5 to 10 minutes, which suits me just fine. No appointments (I dont know when Im going to feel ill, and getting an appointment at regular doctors is usually a week or two - at my age I could be dead before they see me.) Back to the good stuff - If I need to see a doctor DOCTORS EXPRESS is #1. I truly trust their judgement and appreciate their care.
I have been here several times, and every time I come here the service is always been very good. I have great trust in the position that works there, and his staff is very friendly. I would suggest taking advantage of the online scheduling if you have the opportunity.
The staff was very friendly and efficient! The Dr. was extremely pleasant and took good care of me. I am now on the mend and starting to feel much better. Thank you so much for providing a safe, friendly and positive environment for patients. I will definitely recommend this location to others! And will be back if and when the time comes.
Being raised & taught to respect nurses and medical staff, I try to be an easy going and low maintence patient. That being said, I like the staff and facility here better than any other doctors office, ER, or urgent care Ive ever been to. I am always treated quickly, kindly, and respectfully. The staff takes time to explain in a non-condescending way, rather than rushing you out the door like other facilities sometimes do. Dr. Ortiz has seen me multiple times (she recognizes me lol) and I truly wish she could be my primary physician. Shes kind, thorough, considerate, and more than competent. I have had a lot of doctors dismiss me when I describe symptoms Ive had my whole life because Im self diagnosing- even things like pink-eye. But Ortiz consistently listens and discusses my symptoms with me. I never feel like I have to validate myself when talking with her. Shes exactly the type of person that an Urgent Care needs. Nurse Maribel has also been a regular staff member I see that I truly enjoy. Shes always nice, patient, and friendly.Because of this Urgent Care and their wonderful staff, I have been able to be treated quickly for illnesses that my PCP would have made me wait 1-2 weeks. I highly recommend this facility to everyone!
I went to urgent care on Saturday with an infected, very painful finger. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and compassion. Everyone was so kind and professional. Great receptionist, great nurse amazing doctor. Very through exam, I was extremely happy with my experience.
Really was the first Doctor Who has went above and beyond to help me, I’ve even been in and out of ER. I am very satisfied with AFC in Phoenixville
Went here on a weeknight about an hour before they closed, and all staff were attentive and the wait time was not too long. Dr Ortiz was an excellent care provider- very attentive, explained the situation thoroughly, listened well, and expressed care. As good an experience as an urgent care center can be. Thank you Dr Ortiz and team for taking such good care of me!
They turned me away 45 minutes before close as their slots were full. There was only 2 people in the waiting room, a father and son. I ended up needing stitches at Tower Health and they did great work
Rapid information intake from Reception, and the Nurse Assistant, followed by a quick meeting with a knowledgeable doctor. My visit was close to the end of the business day (an hour before the 8PM closing) so demand was very light when I arrived. That said, the process was efficient and cheerful from beginning to end. That helps a lot, when you are sick and its hard to crack a smile to anyone.I left with a prescription being sent to the pharmacy within 45-60 minutes of arriving. The staff made the process look effortless. I would definitely return for more help.
Everyone was very friendly, very attentive. I was in and out of there in no time very clean. I would definitely recommend it.
I contracted a severe upper respiratory infection with a high fever. After calling my physicians office and getting a recording that I could make an appointment on-line for 8 days out or later, I was driven to AFC Urgent Care and very pleasantly surprised by the experience. They saw me immediately, were attentive to my symptoms, and gave wonderful advice. The staff were pleasant, patient and knowledgeable.
In Elverson our Urgent Care pulled out of town and left many of us in need. My daughter needed a physical for obtaining her license and there began my search. Though this urgent care is 27 miles away, after reviewing the reviews the decision was made that we were going to try AFC. I had to meet Dennis, the office manager. His responses to the not so many negative reviews impressed me. There are over 200 reviews - this is exceptional to begin with and the majority are positive. And to every negative one he kindly responds. Our experience at AFC for the past two years matched the impressive rates and reviews. We have enjoyed the Dr. B who takes the time to listen and reasonably responds with the needed help. It was reviews that encouraged me to travel 27 miles forand urgent need.
They were very busy, but they moved as quickly as possible while still caring for their patience. I was able to get x-rays on site and the doctor figured out the issue. When you cant get to your primary care, this is an excellent option over an ER.
Updated 12/13/21. Spoke with owner Dennis. He explained patients waiting to be seen stay in their car until a room is available, due to COVID. As for the thermometer, I was informed the covers are added and disposed of so quickly, it’s easy to miss it. Dennis also confirmed their cleaning procedures. We appreciate the owner reaching out and understand their office process better now.Original post: My husband went to this center for a COVId test around 10:30 am. No other patients were there. He was told he needed an appointment. They said they could schedule him for 1:45 that day. He came back for his appointment and when they took his temperature with the ear thermometer there was no plastic shield and after use it was just put back. He didn’t think anything of it until 36 hours later when his ear started hurting. Then he realized it was probably from the ear thermometer. Luckily, there is another facility near by we can go to from now on. We won’t be going back.
I love having this as an option. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The office is clean and comfortable and they were very efficient. I was seen by a doctor within 5 minutes of completing the paperwork. I was diagnosed and discharged in about 15 minutes. I appreciated that the doctor gave me a list of natural treatments in addition to antibiotics. Im a fan of this place.
Id heard good things about this establishment but, reading the reviews and recognizing several friends and acquaintances who gave good reviews convinced me to visit. My wait time was minimal and I received excellent care from Dr Wagman and his team. In fact, I was so impressed, I sent my daughter there the very next day; she also received wonderful care. The only negative I can report is that the TV in the waiting area was set to a very odd program featuring actors with minimal talent!
I went there with a problem with my shoulder, I was treated quickly, despite having several other people there as well. The doctor was knowledgeable and gave me several things to do, and other options for if it persists. I prefer a more wholistic approach, she had several things for me to try, offered drugs, which I declined, and said I could always call and get them if I changed my mind. I did the things she recommended and am feeling great about my progress. This is my 3rd trip to this Urgent Care and I have been equally pleased with each visit.
Went in on. Sunday, late morning for an ENT visit. Front desk was friendly and helpful. They have a PA on Sunday and she was fantastic. I went in with low expectations and was completely impressed. Got the scripts I needed and she even called the pharmacy to ensure what I needed was in stock.
My daughter is a Freshman in college in Pheinixville, PA, which is approx 5 hours from our home in upstate NY. Recently she went to urgent care after a feeling a bit sick for the past 9 days... the Dr., Office Manager and entire staff were wonderful, compassionate and very responsive! Highly recommend this Urgent Care! Thank you to all!♥️
From the moment you are greeted by the staff and throughout the duration of your appointment, everyone takes great care to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The specialists and doctors are informative, personable and thorough. They also leverage alternative treatments in lieu of or to complement traditional medicine. Both myself and my kids prefer to go there over my/their primary care physician(s).
Excellent experiences at AFC Phoenixville. 7 stars out of 5. Received call from doctor who saw me to ask how I was feeling and to share results from recent blood test - on Sunday afternoon! Wow! I truly appreciate not just the follow up contacts but the performance of the staff during my office visits as well. Staff were perfect combination of professional and friendly. I had donated blood regularly, and was used to bruises; both blood tests at AFC Phoenixville resulted in practically no noticeable mark. The MD and PA who saw me were both helpful and informative. My most sincere thanks to Doctor Feinman, PA-C Nydia Meehan; to Mei and Rebecca for taking care of blood draw and patient contact; and to rest of staff who managed all of my information, prescription, and documentation. Wonderful!
The doctor was super nice! He was gentle and helped me out with an ingrown toe nail infection. He and the staff were very patient and cared about my needs. The doctor even made jokes to make me smile and laugh. Thank you guys!
I never had a problem or concern with this urgent care until today. I had lab results that were ready since this morning & I called & gave all my information so the documents could be sent via email. The first two phone calls they were busy & I was told that they’ll send it over shortly but could be a little bit, which I understand because they’re busy helping others patients. I totally respect that so I waited way over 3 hours before calling again. Spoke with a man named James & he put my on hold & told me he doesn’t see the papers on the doctors desk so he’ll have to wait. I said okay & gave them another 2 hours before doing a follow up call. I called AGAIN & James told me he doesn’t see the papers so he’ll have to reprint it and have the doctor sign off of it. I asked how long does he think it’ll take before I will receive it through email. He said maybe 5-10 mins. That was 5:00pm & it is now 8:13 & I still do not have my lab test results. The only reason why I’m so frustrated & I explained to the receptionist James on the phone that my company is waiting on these results for documentation purposes and protocol. I have lab test sent in the past before & I received them in email in a timely manner with no problems and without me having to call so many times. I know everyone’s busy so I tried to give ample amount of time but it baffles me that from 9:00am until closing time that I still haven’t received my documents. What makes it worse is it looks so unprofessional on both ends with AFC telling their patient it will be sent in a certain time frame and never shows and also unprofessional on my half when I have my company waiting for results to be sent to them.
I called and then came in for a rapid Covid test, not realizing that you were in the process of going from walk-ins to scheduled appointments. This was a bit annoying and confusing, but the ladies were patient in explaining. I then left and called early the next day for a scheduled appointment. As, I am sure often happens, I had to wait almost an hour for my appointment—once I was seen it all went quickly and smoothly. It was a positive experience.
Was seen promptly and it was great that I could get my X-ray done right there. When I called to get a copy of my X-rays for my neurosurgeon , they asked how I was feeling. On a Friday evening , after a car accident , it was so nice to not have to wait hours. We will definitely use this urgent care again
I went to AFC Urgent Care with a bad case of poison ivy which was moving toward my eye. I was very pleased with the care and concern and received a prescription and guidance for managing the problem. I was able to get to work on time. For that I was grateful.
Warm, friendly team! We saw the Doctor within 5 minutes. My son received great care, and everything was explained to him and I during our visit. We were in and out within 45 minutes, but not rushed through.... Office is spotless.
I would definitely recommend. I couldnt get an appointment with my doctors office so I decided to come here. The lady doctor I saw was so nice she took her time and helped me calm down. She answered all of my questions and settled my concerns. I would definitely go again. They only thing I did not like is the wait time. When I called they said there was no wait when I got there I still waited almost an hour, but in my experience even at your doctors office u can have long wait times..Just a heads up that it could be a possibility. But I would still go back
As soon as I arrived, The Staff were professional and personal. Signing in was very helpful. I broke my glasses, and as The Staff were cautious about The HIPPA. As nobody else was in the waiting room, The front desk read me the questions as I couldnt read them. All The Staff were efficient, welcoming and understanding. They listened were thorough, short wait time, .I would recommend AFC, Urgent Care to anyone. Thanks
I was very happy with the quick service and the knowledgeable and friendly Doctor who took care of me. She was patient and very well informed on the various courses of treatment for the flu and other respiratory problems, catering for all of my allergies to meds. I will definitely return there.
Our initial visit was for Covid testing. It was a Sunday and the wait was very minimal!I called after our quarantine was over (14days) And asked what the protocol for us was… Our next steps. I said do we come in and get retested and the girl On the phone said yes!We went back on day 15 and our vitals were taken and were way off. Both my husband and I said there must be something wrong with the equipment because coming into weeks ago my blood pressure was a lot lower than what it was reading! Also our oxygen level was low because we were sitting for over an hour waiting for our appointment with a mask onWhen I got to see the doctor he said why are you here. And I said I had a test for Covid two weeks ago I’m here for a retest. He said the CDC has changed their guidelines and unless you need a negative test for school or work we are not retesting you. So I said to him so why doesn’t anybody at the front desk know this I have wasted an entire day here.So needless to say I left and I am now going to see my primary care physician as a follow up and they will do all of the testing that they need to do...retest as well as the test for it and the antibody.( i would have gone to my PCP initially have I had one)I will say that the staff is very nice. Dr. Ortiz was very nice and Melissa. We saw them initially ! I can’t speak for the other group of people that We Saw the second time...rough around the edges!!
Ive never used an Urgent Care, the few times Ive had to visit a Dr, I would make an appointment sometime in the future and wait for my day.I needed a quicker response from a Poison Sumac outbreak, so I tried AFC Express. Showed up without an appointment after work, checked in and less than 10 minutes later I was brought in by a nurse and speaking with a Dr a few minutes later. Easily the fastest experience ever with seeing a Doctor and getting a prescription.I would HIGHLY recommend trying AFC Doctors Urgent Care.
Went in for nausea, simple right? Well I got my blood tested and it came back with all sorts of problems (electrolytes imbalanced). The doctor had the test re-done using the same vials and it was still messed up. She gave me a few options and I decided to go to the ER, at the ER my blood was re-tested everything was normal, very frightening experience but the urgent care doctor followed up with me the next day to make sure everything turned out okay. The reason I gave 5 stars is because the staff was extremely professional and listened to my concerns. I had maybe a 10 minute wait (that includes filling out paperwork). Even though everything turned out okay, I appreciate that the doctor followed up with me the following day to be certain it was a lab error.
I had a very good visit, the office staff was very professional and the Dr. was very nice and professional as well. I did not have to wait at all, so much easier to go there then to sit in the ER for hours. I was in and out of there in about 45 minutes tops and that included x-rays. I will definitely go back there if needed before I go to the ER. Thanks to the Dr. and staff for your quick service. VERY HAPPY PATIENT HERE!
This was my first visit. The receptionist was excellent--very personable and helpful attitude. Got to see the doctor within 15 minutes. Saw Dr. Foley and I couldnt have been happier with the way he treated me.Overall, a very good experience
HORRIBLE experience. Will never be seen by their doctors again nor will I recommend this location, ever. Only one other person in the waiting room, waited 20minutes there, then another 45minutes in a patient room. 5minute visit with the dr for him to give me pills, not what I wanted and it didnt help. Followed up with Chiropractic care, back in action in no time! - this was a year ago and now b/c my review is out there, they want to reach out to me, even though, I complained and sent letters. No thanks. My time is far more important, ask your staff and review the copies of my checks I submitted. Worst urgent care ever. - I will not respond to you. I tried to reach out to you last year. No response. There was two other patients in your office at the time of my visit, please dont attempt to lie at this point. Your office did not treat me properly nor did your doctor have time to even to check me out. I saw him for less than 5minutes after waiting 45, he gave me a script and that was it. Respectfully Dennis, your office would rather hand out pills than to figure out what happened to your patients. I was seeking an answer as to why I couldnt move my head/neck, your doctor pressed down on my head, gave me pills and told me to have a nice day. Thats how you care for your patients? Great practice.
Was there at 7 pm, my wife was attacked by a cat and actively bleeding. The facility doesn’t close until 8. But the nurses there told us that the doctor was too busy with paperwork and not seeing any more patients so we should go somewhere else. The nurse did point to the box of tissues on the desk so my wife could help herself. I guess maybe next time my wife needs to bleed all over their waiting room for the doctor to do anything.Edit: There was no one else in the waiting room or in the back. The nurse specifically said the doctor wouldn’t see anyone else so he could catch up on paperwork. This was at 7 pm when closing was at 8. We did not call ahead (and if we did what would that have done, wouldn’t you have been able to tell us then not to waste our time driving to you and just go elsewhere?). Why would we go to the ER for something like this and potentially wait for hours to be seen? Isn’t that the point of urgent care? Oaks Urgent Care took us immediately, and we were seen by a physician and had a prescription ordered and sent to our pharmacy within a half hour. The owner of this establishment somehow found my private cell number and called and texted me out of the blue on Christmas Eve when I was with family and on the day after Christmas when I was working.
They were efficient, and kind. The doctor was awesome and extremely helpful. He diagnosed me right away and sent me to the ER and I was treated before it got a lot worse. They even called 2 days later to see how I was doing. I would definitely go there again!
All staff was friendly and great to work with.
Please consider hiring a second doctor for the weekend hours. I waited two hours to be seen and finally I had to leave without receiving care. The staff were friendly and hard-working but when I asked if this kind of wait was typical for weekend patients more than one of them told me yes.apparently weekdays are better, but thats when our primary hold office hours.
I was very pleased with my experience at AFC Doctors Express in Phoenixville. Although there were two people in front of me when I arrived, I was still in and out in just under 40 minutes. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them and I will return if/when the need arises.
I couldnt get into my primary doctor and had a bad reaction to an over the counter drug and i went to urgent care and saw Dr Lamar Foley. He was amazing. He was so patient with me and really understood how I was feeling. I liked him better than my primary that I had been going to for over 6yrs. And to make my visit even more comfortable the staff was very kind and they were quick to take me back. I highly recommend Urgent care in Pheonixville to anyone!
The wait time was an half hour which is not bad at all, as you come in, the young lady on the the right side is extremely nice ( Im sorry I don;t know her name ), I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care. I would like to Thank Dr. Craig Fiedman who was excellent!
Tremendous overall experience. Clean environment, courteous staff, and Doctor Ortiz is my new favorite doctor. Everyone was so very kind and understanding and actually listened to me when i spoke. I wont be going anywhere else for my medical issues.
I was impressed. Wasn’t feeling great, stuffy and my head hurt. I don’t care for doctors as they are very quick give a pill. I was delighted when we discussed homeopathic options for treatment. Dr.Ortiz allowed me to decide, I took both the homeopathic care and the decongestant. She did not try to steer me in either direction and that was refreshing ! Wish she was my primary doctor. I will definitely come back if I am in need of a physician. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and didn’t make me feel like o was a bother.
Nothing urgent about this place. Waited 1 hour and 20 min to be put in the exam room to wait gosh knows how long. Still waiting. I definitely won’t be back.
Brought my daughter in Tuesday, November 9th for an eye injury. The man who checked us in was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Honestly, everytime I have been there he isnt kind. He started arguing with a young women who worked at the front desk. Right in front of my daughter. The young woman working repeatedly asked him to stop but he did not. He then said he had no respect for her. This is his coworker and if there was a disagreement it should of been handled In the back and not in front of patients. The young woman working kept her composure the whole time and still was kind to my daughter and I even after she was embarrassed by her coworkers outburst. The rest of the staff was great. That particular man needs to find a new job if he is that miserable.
As a working woman, sometimes the only time I realize that I am sick is when I stop on the weekends. I was able to get my sinus infection quickly taken care of thanks to Doctors Express. The personnel were professional and helped with all of my needs. I have highly recommended them for physicals for my employees as well. Great to have a local urgent care in Phoenixville!
Today was my 1st visit here and in was the most pleasant experience Ive ever had on a doctors visit.. Dr. Borrero was very attentive and compassionate about the pain I was in and came up with a great plan to alleviate it as quickly as possible and also went online to find the best prices for my prescriptions... Bethany & Kristin were very knowledgeable on the many questions I had and they went out of there way to confirm my pricing & printed out the best discount coupons available for RX in my area. I will only go here from now on!Ken B
The care I received was excellent and the staff was very empathetic
Contacted this facility the morning after a car accident to get checked out. Front dest staff told me that they were crowded at that particular moment but that if I could wait an hour I would likely have a shorter wait. I did so, and the wait was only about 10 mins. The doctor who looked me over was very responsive, professional and communicated well, and the techs and nurses who took the X-Rays, took blood etc were excellent. This was the most positive experience Ive had in a medical facility in a long time.
Its the best urgent care in the area. I went in with a complex medical history and the doctor discussed pros and cons of my treatment and was very thorough.
Outstanding experience from check in to check out. The Doctor and staff were kind, pleasant, and explained things well. I hope no one in my family needs to go again, but its comforting knowing theres a caring, convenient, and cost effective alternative to the emergency room.
I really am the worst with names, but both the nurse and doctor I saw were amazingly friendly and so kind. Im new to the area, and went for a Covid test, and while its annoying you have to see a doctor, they were so nice, it didnt bother me at all. I would one thousand percent recommend this urgent care!!!
Had to go 2x in week for covid test before surgery. Everyone was polite and professional. Shout out to April there!! Most pleasant, courteous manner about her!! She put me at ease. Thank you April!!
I was literally the ONLY patient in the place, yet I still had to wait 30 to be evaluated for stitches! One doctor was chatting on the phone loud enough for me to hear him and Im not sure what my doctor was doing before she came in to see me. Coming to the Urgent Care is supposed to be an improvement over the ER, but even Pottstown hospital has a 30 minute guarantee. So what motivation would I have to come back after 2 bad experiences? There is none. Apparently you folks have forgotten that patients are also consumers with choices.
Recently,I went to the Doctors Express in Phoenixville for my terrible flu like symptoms and a nerve pinching headache. The place was very clean and a parking space was big.The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. It was a busy day there, but I saw Dr. Wagman within 5 min. and also got my blood drawn on site. He was very professional and thorough with an examinations. Most of time, I wait 40-60 min. to see my regular doctor at fancy office after making an appointment and had to go to the lab separately which was very inconvenient.I couldnt even see her this time, just because she was completely booked. At this urgent care, it was so fast and easy to see a real experienced, trained doctor for your needs ..... not nurse practitioners.Best of all, I felt very cared for and feeling better now.I would highly recommend this place to everybody who needs urgent care, because they do deliver an express service with a great care.
I was visiting from out of state and was very sick, was able to be seen quickly and everyone was so kind and attentive. Thanks to them I will be able to be well enough to fly back home in a few days!
Service/Care was top notch! Super friendly and professional! I am most grateful!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor that saw me was very nice but she told me I had a sinus infection. But two days later went to my primary doctor and found out I had the flu. Which he tested for. Which urgent care did not do. I will just go to my primary care doctor for now on. Maybe you should test for flu. This is only a suggestion! I guess people have diffrent symptoms.
So I am 52 years old and have been to my share of doctors, both primary care, specialists, and urgent care/ER docs. I had an experience at this facility that I have NEVER had in my life so far - I met with Dr. Ortiz and she actually seemed to have expertise in both traditional and alternative medicines. She recommended traditional pain medication and then went into detail about how supplements and digestive enzymes could help me as well. She actually acknowledged how important nutrition is in the care of the human body. It is so refreshing to think that maybe medicine is catching up with what many of us have already known - we need to view the body holistically, respecting nutrition as well as medications when we look to heal ourselves. Dr. Ortiz gave me a renewed faith in where the medical profession is going...Thank you so much!
Went in for an earache because my primary couldnt see me immediately. Urgent said nothing was wrong. Take some mucinex... it should get better. Next day went to get a second opinion from my primary. I thankfully got an appointment. My Primary took one look in my ear and exclaimed how it was the worst infection she had seen. I think Urgent should have been able to diagnose this immediately. Ear infections arent hard to diagnose. Seems like they just saw me to get the $100 fee, and I have insurance that should have satisfied that fee, so Im pretty sure they messed that up too. I recommend going to the ER over Urgent. At least youll get your monies worth.
Highly recommend if you cant get to your primary care. The front staff was pleasant and quick. I got to see a doctor within 15-20 minutes. Loved Dr. Telisha Ortiz. She was thorough, kind, and very helpful.
Horribly condescending Dr. Doesnt listen. Wouldnt let me talk. Makes judgements -doesnt ask.Told me flat out that I was wrong about the fact that blood pressure cuffs leave marks on my skin. Told me I need to stop scratching gouges into my arm!!! As if Im stupid. Like I was a toddler that didnt know any better. I said more than once no this always happens to my arm after the machine takes my blood pressure. She told me No, that doesnt happen. The machine doesnt do that. . She accused me of doing it to myself!!!!And that wasnt the only thing that was upsetting. It was just the final thing -She was so bad that I walked out. Ive had doctors over the years that I didnt care for and just didnt go back but this is the first time I have ever been treated so rudely that I walked out middle of appointment.Do not recommend unless they get a different doctor!!!!!! The poor owner heard me leaving upset and seemed sincere in his apology but.... I am NEVER going back.In response to the excuse that the owner posted below-First- Even though you promised I would not be billed for this debacle - because you know thats the right thing to do - why did you STILL file it with my Insurance? I hope you dont intend on trying to collect on this!Second -how dare you use my name in your response on here when I have not used my personal information!
Great experience, great staff. My boyfriend came down with something and was feeling dizzy and unsteady on his feet. We waited no longer than 10 minutes before the doctor saw us. They even did blood work! We were in and out in less than an hour.
I took both of my children and myself for COVID tests. While there was a wait staff was kind and pleasant. I appreciate Dr. Czsear taking his time and taking to me about the testing. I’ll wait any day to see a doctor like that.
Went for a COVID test on a Friday. Results came in Via email on Monday, almost exactly 72- hours later. The office called immediately after with results were emailed as well.Saw a doctor before getting tested; hence a copay, as compared to a CVS test which is free.Doctors are very pleasant, this was my third visit over a few years. The front desk employees either need a day off or some coaching on customer service- they looked unhappy and bothered. The basic “I will be right with you, have a seat please” would have helped- I stood in front of the desk upon arrival for a good minute before anyone acknowledged me. Awkward.
Staff was courteous and kind. Very patient and understanding, as I began feeling worse after arriving. This was my first visit to an urgent care center for myself. I would go to this one again, if needed.
Great response time considering other patients. Excellent stitches, great professional service and good bedside manner.Nice to know you are here, recommended you to several people. Thanks!
Unfortunately I ended up sick with COVID while visiting the US for the first time since 2017. I visited AFC Urgent Care and was seen by Dr. Feinman. Without his care and treatment I truly believe I would have been hospitalized. This Urgent Center is very clean. It is run very efficiently. Thank you Dr. Feinman and staff for your help. I would highly recommend visiting AFC if you are not well and need to be seen urgently.
If you get a Covid-19 test here PLEASE request a copy of the lab results and review them yourself. I received a call from the receptionist telling me my result came back “negative” only to receive a paper copy an hour later and notice my lab results said otherwise. (I had to call back to request a copy emailed for work purposes) When I called back to confirm, another receptionist told me it was “positive”. I then had it confirmed with my primary care physician that it was in fact positive. If I would have took the first receptionist’s word for my results it could have been a disaster for my family, work, etc. I’m sure the receptionist had a lot of paperwork and that’s the reason things got mixed up, but this can not be a reoccurring thing in a pandemic. The calls regarding test results should be coming from a Doctor.
Very fast, friendly staff, and I seemed to have a good outcome. Im yet to see the bill, and Im still having pain, but they gave me the xrays I needed so its just a matter of taking the time to heal now. They had me in and out, but that does come with a little bit of a downside. You can feel like theyre just rolling you down an assembly line.
I wanted to thank you for a good experience at Doctors Express in Phoenixville when I came in with my 12 year old son who got an injury which required stitches on his head. The staff and physician on duty were helpful and friendly as well as quite competent. Finishing the appointment with a lollipop was a bonus for him! Thanks for making the experience at your clinic a good as possible.Kind regards,Jeff Snyder, D.C.Snyder Family Chiropractic
The doctor here is extremely knowledgeable and nice, the owner is all about customer service. They still need a little help on getting the front desk to care about the people coming in, and showing some sympathy towards their patients. I would definitely go back again.
Front desk staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Nursing staff was professional and friendly. Doctor was very knowledgeable, professional and yes, friendly. A very pleasant visit all the way around. I would have no qualms about returning for further care.
I was not very satisfied with the visit I had on Saturday. The reception was fine but when I got back with the nurse who took my vitals and the doctor, I felt like I was wasting their time. At one point the doctor said something along the lines of I had nothing better to do on a Saturday. While I may not of had a fever at the time does not mean I felt fine. I have never had such a horrendous cough which caused pain in my ribs and eventually pain in my abdomen from coughing so hard. He did prescribe antibiotics and an inhaler but it was never called over to the pharmacy until Monday.Unfortunately this will not be my first choice should I need to see a doctor when my doctors office is closed.
DO NOT GO HERE. worst “medical” experience of my life. i went for a required covid-19 test for college, no symptoms or anything. they told me on the phone that it was free, and then charged me $30. then, after making me wait 25 minutes, gave me a physical exam for no reason after i said i didn’t want one and i only came for the test. On top of that, after telling the doctor i had driven to new jersey to my own condo, the doctor told me “yikes... most people who come back from NJ test positive.” so unprofessional to say that to a teenager who’s not even sick. horrible doctors, don’t listen to patient needs at all.
WARNING AVOID!!!!***And I was reported to CPS***We were at the park for about an hour when my middle son told me his foot hurt. I pulled off his shoe and noticed he had a splinter that had become infected. I would have treated it myself but noticed more redness and thought he would be better treated with antibiotics. Because we just moved here and dont have a regular pediatrician I decided to take him to AFC Urgent Care Phoenixville, PA.The Dr came in and when I expressed I would have treated it but was concerned about the redness he asked me where I was obtaining materials to treat him. He said as a Dr he wouldnt of even treated his son at home. He than asked if I bathed my kids daily....yes but we just came directly from the park hence why he is dirty. Apparently his knees were to dirty and I would have noticed his foot sooner if I bathed him properly because my almost 4 year old and all kids of that age apparently are incapable of washing themselves (I go over hair, necks, ears and privates). He than refused to treat my son and told me he needed to go to the ER. The Dr refused to give me discharge papers. When I arrived at Paoli Hospital they were so awesome and confirmed home treatment would have been fine but agreed antibiotics just in case. They also did confirm that urgent care accused me of neglect. The physician and supervisor both said it was ridiculous and unfounded. I reported him to the medical board. If you have children especially ones who play outside avoid at all costs!!!!
My child had hurt his foot and went in for X-rays. The Doctor and Nursing Staff we’re friendly and worked very well with my son. When we found out he had broken a bone in his toe, they showed us how to care for the injury and answered all of our questions. Great experience! Let’s just hope this is the last break for a while 🙂
I was seen promptly and received excellent care. Dr. Foley took time to explain things in detail, and made sure I didnt have any questions or concerns before I left. The entire staff is courteous and competent.
Very compassionate and caring group of doctors and nurses.
As usual my experience with AFC Doc Ex was excellent. Docs and staff are first rate. I would normally have given 5 stars on this visit. However one of the male members at the desk treated me disrespectfully. I has given a clipboard by another staff member and asked to sign in two places. The male staffer looked at me disdainfully and abruptly pulled the clipboard out of my hands and handed it on another patient he was serving. I did not desire to create a scene so I let it slide. I know that the intentions of AFC Doc Ex are not in line with what happened to me and I WILL continue to use your services.
We had an awesome experience. 5 minute wait, then almost immediate doctor time. My daughter was seen, diagnosed, and prescribed antibiotics within 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and the office was clean.
On vacation and had a repeat of a UTI infection that one of their doctors prescribed Cipro to clear up. I called to get the prescription renewed and they gave me the run around because the Doc that made the original prescription would not be in for three days and the current Doc wouldn’t give me a new prescription. Given the pain of a UTI infection I couldn’t wait three days! Not very good patient care, got the feeling they don’t care about there patients.I must recant my above original comments about caring about their patients. I received a call from the director of the Phoenixville Urgent Care. After discussing my symptoms He called back with a doctor on the call (impressive). I reviewed my situation with her and after our discussion saw their position and concern for me. I will take her recommendation and will go to an urgent care while on vacation. This Urgent Care facility is clearly patient focused and I strongly recommend it!
Dr Borrero was great. Went in for cold like symptoms, she listened and typed up a whole page of helpful remedies, which she did not have to do. Also, went out of her way to talk about my high blood pressure that was happening at the time of visit. She actually cared and made me feel a lot better about choosing to go here. Would highly recommend!
Competent and friendly service. Went from entering the door to picking up my prescription at a pharmacy in an hour. Amazing.
Great alternative to the ER! Went here on a Saturday after returning from the beach. my son was complaining about ear pain. Everyone was professional and courteous. We were in and out within an hour, with a script in hand. I would definitely recommend it.
I poked a large hole in my left leg with the car door. Much blood and some pain. Our doctors staff gave me the location of Doctor Express and I went right there. The doctor cleaned the blood of out of the wound, laid the skin flap back in place and used strips to hold the flap in place. He used no tape on my skin (good because my skin tears very easy. The total bill was $12.50 copay, less than my normal copay of $20.00. Very happy with their care. Will go back if/when needed.
Five stars for my visit (getting staples removed from a scalp injury). Professional staff, prompt service, first-class medical standards and care. Couldnt have asked for better!
I found the doctors and staff to be very helpful during our visit. Everyone (including the owner) went above and beyond to help our family. I highly recommend them. It is a friendly, personalized experience where they sincerely want to help and do what is best for their patients.
After a 2 week vacation I came home with what I described as bronchitis. Sure enough, it was diagnosed as Viral Bronchitis. While antibiotics wouldnt help, they gave me an inhaler and a cough syrup to make me more comfortable. They advised to anticipate the cough for 2-3 weeks. Luckily it was two. I was able to return to work. It was very convenient and everyone was friendly and caring.
Extremely thankful that AFC Doctors Express was open on a Sunday. After two excruciating days of back pain I couldnt wait for my primary Doctor. Wait time was very short, employees were friendly and the doctor was quick but thorough.
Paige was very helpful and fitted me in on the same morning for a Covid test for travel paperwork requirements. The (up to 3 day) test results were actually back from the lab the next morning, which took the stress off waiting for the info to fill out the strict forms, before the deadline was up. Thank you!
Very friendly staff, nurse, and doctor.Liked that you could take the xray on the premises and then give us the results right away.Seemed like we waited for a long time in the room before the doctor came in, but overall we were in and out of there in a little over an hour.
Woke up the day of my best friends wedding (that I was a bridesmaid for) and spent several hours vomitting. Gross but thats what was going on. I went to doctors express hoping for a miracle and they delivered. I was seen fast and got pumped with meds to get me back in check. Made it all the way through the wedding and reception with no problem thanks to the doctor that was on duty. Very impressed.
The staff was very friendly, but when a doctor told me he knows nothing about how a 3mm gap in bones with a screw holding it together could hurt, I left. Three surgeries over 4 years were not enough to convince him I needed anything other than motrin, even though I spoke at length with him. Obviously they see a lot of drug seekers, and obviously have determined it is better to allow some one to suffer, than give them a dam drug they REQUIRE.
Very grateful for the kindness and care i received here. they were careful to check my insurance to make sure they gave me the best care w/in a reasonable budget and everything they told me to do worked. i would not hesitate to go back again.
Every staff member I encountered was pleasant, caring, and kind towards all of the patients needs. They take many insurance plans as well. Fast, professional, and courteous. Thank you for all of that!
I went to this urgent care because the receptionist at the Douglassville center was rude and condescending for absolutely no reason. What a difference! Everybody was polite and accommodating at the Phoenixville Urgent Care. I will definitely drive an extra 20 minutes for a pleasant experience rather than go close and deal with a sour employee.
Quick, convenient, with a caring and talented staff. This was the most pleasant experience using healthcare that I have had, even though the reason was not pleasant. This is how healthcare should be administered. I cant say enough about the kindness and friendliness of the staff. An overall outstanding experience.
I came in with severe abdominal pain, throwing up. Since I wasnt vaccinated, Dr Csaszar insisted it was covid before even seeing me. I had no fever, no coughing, no sneezing or even a sniffle. He came in with a ridiculous respirator and barely examined me. He listened to absolutely nothing I had to say. He wrote covid exposure on my paperwork as well as contagious colitis. So not only am I out the fees of self pay, I also lost time at work. He discriminated me and Im looking for options to make a formal complaint. He did unnecessary testing and treated me like the dregs of society. If the chance ever arises to need urgent care in the future, I will be taking a hard pass on your establishment.
Once again a great experience. Wonderful physician saw me and treated my UTI and then did a follow up call a few weeks later to let me know the results of the culture and that the antibiotic was the right one and hoped was feeling better and if not, to come back in
Everyone could not have been nicer. I was taken in as soon as my daughter filled out my paperwork. Dr. Ortiz explained what she was doing and why. Great experience.
We have used this resource for school sports physicals, DMV learners permit physical, and flu. The front office staff is always fast and professional while the medical staff is thorough, communicative and knowledgeable. We feel lucky to have such a valuable resource in our community and highly recommend this facility.
The care I received was first rate and the doctor was friendly and very efficient.Broken finger. X-ray on the spot and an accurate diagnosis.I would not hesitate to use this service again in the future.A great experience considering I had a broken bone... oh well.
The folks at AFC Urgent Care were very good at getting me in for several Covid tests recently. All associates were very professional and I got to speak to a doctor about symptoms and care in a timely manner.
I thought the staff was very professional and personable. I was made to feel comfortable despite the physical discomfort from my injury. I thought Carrie Jacovini, PA was lovely, compassionate and I appreciate the care she provided.
The front desk was very rude and staff was very rude. I was not happy with my visit at all. Thought I could walk in and wait for a bit nope ended up being over an hour and a half wait. I will not be returning ever again.
Came in for assessment of an acute eye injury. Dr. Csaszar treated me & was an awesome, informative, kind but no nonsense physician. Highly recommend this accessible and quality service provider when needed. Thank you, Doc!
Exam and X-Rays of injured wrist and toe, results read and out of there in about an hour. Everyone I spoke to was kind, caring and professional. What a fantastic alternative to a day at the ER. The cost is much more reasonable too.
Was able to get in at 8 am on a Sunday for a severe earache. CVS minute clinic had nothing until the day day at 10 am. Never had any luck with that place. This is our familys 2 occasion to come here and well worth the travel from Skippack. Our insurance is honered unlike the local Prremier Care centers that dont take our Keystone Health Plan East. Both times we were seen by excellent physicians, and recent excellent care. Freindly staff and very thorough. Thank goodness for AFC Doctors Express, or we may have been looking at a preferred eardrum instead of earache.
Great service !!The staff was friendly and helpfull. My son and I both seen in less than a hour. My son has special needs and the doctor was very patient with him. The medical assistant was also great with him.
They really care about their patients. Had very good care. Had something in my eye, the doctor flushed it and had a look , couldnt find anything eye was scratched. Recemended Homeopathic eye drops. They work great!Jay
Edited to add*** they respond to every negative response that they have tried to reach you which is a complete lie. Not one person has reached out to me regarding this and I will be reporting this Dr as far as I can. Also he said a rash and cramping was covid and ordered me testing which BOTH were negative. I left with no answers. Only that it could be Covid. Is there any other ailments or illnesses these days other than covid? Something is seriously wrong with this picture. My experience here today with Dr Csaszar was extremely unprofessional and discriminatory. I came in for a rash with abdominal cramping with obvious bite marks within vicinity of rash. He immediately said I was showing signs of COVID-19, which I clearly was not. They tested me and I felt completely belittled the entire apt. I asked if spider bite was possible and he replied that its impossible to be bite by a spider while sleeping unless your sleeping in cob webs 🙄 I left so confused with no answers on this rash. I will not return to this urgent care and will tell everyone I know to avoid at all costs.
They tell you they accept your insurance and then bill you for hundreds of dollars after you paid the co pay they ask for. Do NOT go here. They are crooks. Patient first in Collegeville is so much better. They are transparent with what you owe up front. This place is awful!!!
I walked in there at 5:30pm tonight with my Mom who needed care urgently and was turned away because i didnt have an appointment. Appointment??? Doesnt that make it a Doctors office if i need an appointment and not a place to get urgent (non appointment) care? It says right on the door no appointments..walk ins welcome.
Walked in on a Saturday and was seen within a short time. Dr. and all employees were pleasant and helpful. The Dr. did a thorough exam and prepared the paperwork that was needed. I would not hesitate to use this service in the future.
It was really quick and easy! I didnt have to wait long to see the doctor and because I knew exactly what the problem was I was able to get the prescription I needed without much fuss. So much easier than the ER and cheaper too!
We have been sitting here for 1 hour and 25 minutes and only one person has gone back to see the Doc and left 5 minutrs later. No one else has been called back in over an hour. All the employees are busy, busy, busy doing what I dint kniw. All I can say is that the Urgent needs to be removed from the name of this business, because there is no Urgent in the care of there patients.
In and out in no time. Was able to see a doctor quickly, had a chest X-ray, and breathing treatment, and an accurate diagnoses and treatment plan. Very happy with the service and the price (uninsured)
I was OUT THE DOOR in 50 minutes!(In case you read nothing else, thats the important part).I hurt my ankle and wanted to get it checked out. Its *always* a pain to have to deal with an ER or even an urgent care, but I bit the bullet and walked in here on a Sunday afternoon. In 50 minutes I was checked in and filled out the initial paperwork (only one sheet!), called back and had a nurse check my vitals, was put in an exam room and discussed symptoms with a nurse, saw a doctor, had X-rays taken, had X-rays read by the radiologist, was given discharge paperwork, and left. Painless. I would definitely recommend.
Doctor wouldn’t even see me. I went as a self pay and filled out paperwork. I waited for 15 minutes and then reception called me to the desk. They said that the doctor knows what I am experiencing is a virus and there is nothing he can do. I asked how does he know this if he never even evaluated me? Reception told me that he is very experienced in that when a patient writes down “sinus/bronchitis symptoms” that he already knows it’s viral. I asked why is what I’m blowing out and coughing up green and would the doctor be willing to do a blood test to prove bacterial vs viral? Reception left to talk to the doctor and came back and said that the doctor would definitely not be doing any kind of bloodwork. This is the absolute last time I go there!
Staff there got me in and out. The Doctor I met with spent time with me and really spoke to me about my issue (Pink Eye) and gave me great advice. I would absolutely come back if ever needed again in the pinch.
Worst place I have ever been, the front desk worker James was very rude and refused service or even the eligibility of service. He was disrespected and talked down to me as if I was a child or have had no life experience... as if I never been to the doctors before. I had to ask him very politely 20+ times to look up if I am eligible. I am very ill and due to me not being from the area this urgent care is my only option, well was my only option... I dont recommend this place to anyone due to a single individual James
My daughter rolled her ankle and I wanted to be sure it wasnt fractured. Friendly check in, ankle x-rayed (no break), got a Drs note for school and all in less than an hour and a half. Will definitely go back.
The PA I saw was SO nice, attentive, very knowledgeable, & truly felt like she cared! & gave me information to take home to help with the fixing the problem
I live in Collegeville and I would much rather go to this location in Phoenixville despite having an urgent care much closer to me. This location has nice staff/doctors and they actually show kindness and concern for you.
Overall, it was a good experience. The doctor was awesome! She was very personable and helpful! The paperwork process could be faster & more efficient but it wasnt awful.
Just had another smooth experience at AFC Urgent Care. Dr. Feinman was thorough and I did not feel rushed. Highly recommend!
I went in on a Saturday and the nurses and doctor were very helpful. While I did wait quite a bit of time in the room, the results were positive and I was able to get the medical attention I needed and medicine to get better.
Never have I experienced the blatant dismissal by a doctor as I just did at this facility. He was so quick to tell me he’s been practicing for 18 years, maybe you would benefit from some bedside manner training. Will never go back.
Used the services of AFC Urgent Care Phoenixville twice this year due to some painful conditions that needed to be looked at in a hurry.Received excellent, thorough, and timely care.Definitely recommend
Extremely prompt and professional. I was really impressed with the level of interest shown by the doctor as well as his thorough explanation. Professional and courteous front desk staff. Highest possible recommendation.
We had a great experience here! The doctors were very kind and understanding when my toddler came when his arm was hurt. Thanks, we will recommend you to anyone in the area.
X-ray technician was a wonderful person! She also checked me in. Very valuable.
They mentioned they close at 12 and I arrived at 11:35 with a gash on my head. They proceeded to give me a wad of gauze and a mask. Then told me to go down to the other urgent care down the street, with a head injury, so they can take care of me. All because they close at 12. Thanks for the help guys!!!
Had a great experience here--the staff were attentive and helpful, the doctor was thorough and was in and out in under 45 minutes-this included xrays-and they accepted my insurance. Definitely 5-star and will use again.
Waited almost a hour and a half to be seen. Was there for a sports physical. Dr. Ortiz came in with a chip on her shoulder. Filled out form with checks with only looking at his ears and nose. Apparently they want paperwork clearing him from an issue he has as an infant. Hell be 16 next week. She haf an even bigger attitude and claimed I refused to get it. Didnt suggest anything except she would do PE. She falsified his oaoerwork by filling it out while never looking or touching him. She treatened to call the cops on me when i was sitting in the office on the phone with my pediatrician office.
I had a fish hook removed from my cheek on Friday night and just wanted to say Thank you. I think Dr Helstrom treated me and she was awesome and it looks like a little minor booboo :o) The nurses in the office were all nice too. So Thanks
I visited the office for an injured foot. X-rays were done quickly. There was very little waiting. Doctor was very personable and the staff was very friendly. The co-pay was way less than visiting the hospital.
I did go their on Saturday for a rash with an increasing pain in the calf of my left leg. The doctor named Wagman diagnosed that as a Cellulitis infection and prescribed me with some antibiotic that was very effective. I am completely satisfied with the receptionist, the doctor and their overall treatment.
Took my son in because of a broken hand. Doctor gave us a splint, which was no better than an off the shelf splint that you can buy at CVS. Few months later we receive a bill from the third party supplier of the splint. The bill for the splint was more than the urgent care bill, which included x-rays. You are not saving money or convenience by going here.UPDATE:Dennis, the owner of AFC, reached out to me after he learned of my complaint. He was genuinely concerned and explained to me that he was unaware what the 3rd party supplier had charged me. Dennis immediately remedy my complaint and helped me get a refund for the splint. If you have a problem with AFC, I would strongly recommend that you reach out to Dennis. I am confident that he will listen to you and do everything in his power to make sure you are satisfied with the services received at AFC.
Friendly front desk staff, and very nice nurse. Office is very clean and my Dr was amazing and even told me about supplements that boost my immune system I did not even know about, perfect diagnosis and was really a great doctor for sure...Love this place!
I was disturbed when I heard about the unprofessional behavior exhibited by one of the doctors at this practice as well as the rest of the staff (from the receptionist to the folks at the corporate level) when the complaint was voiced.Id recommend against having your child be seen here.
Friendly, prompt, efficient and professional service. In and out in less than an hour with the issue addressed and treated. I recommend and will consider AFC URGENT CARE PHOENIXVILLE for my medical needs in the future.
